Synopsis
Media commentator Muncie Daniels must fight for her innocence and her life after stumbling upon a murder in the heart of the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first leading role on television. There are many elements of this show that are well done. But I just felt like it was weird. There were so many things about the script, the direction, and the acting that I found myself feeling off about. It was embarrassing at times. Some of the dialogue felt so incomplete and half-baked that I found myself shaking my head. It made the relationships in the story feel incomplete and lacking depth. I feel like I should have warm feelings for a lot of the characters, but I don’t. I understand the techniques for making an audience uncomfortable, but this is different. If it was deliberate, the execution failed. If this is a new style of filmmaking, I hope it catches on.
